PS, I just made this skirt and I am patting myself on the back for a nearly successful first attempt at sewing a scalloped edge! I would have scalloped the bottom too but I ran out of fabric. Regardless of that, I love the outcome, it's such a fun detail!

back to school and what it means to me

There ain't a thing I don't like about this outfit! As a career school nerd, I of course adore the overall inspiration. And as a clothes nerd I love the print with the rich green and the well-worn oxfords. Super, super cute!
I'm in the quarter system, so I don't get my PhD on again until the end of September. It's enough to cause a major depressive state in this fall-loving, school-loving child!
What a great homage to school! I have been going through pretty much the same beckoning for fall too--longer skirts and cardigans and blazers . . . and sweating my ass off!
I love your leopard cardi and of course you nailed the sewing project yet again!
RAWR! this outfit looks like you've brought out your inner "nerd-diva" ... if that makes any sense. sophisticated yet strong - i would have NEVER thought cheetah print and olive would go together so PERFECTLY...
and yes... this back to school stuff is awesome - student style is something that will always be in vogue...

back to school is such a fun time of year. My man is going back to studies and I envy him a bit for all that excitement. Great look there for that spirit, love the skirt, can't wait to see the first one with a scalloped bottom!!
Anything with animal print is an instant favorite of mine! Especially love the olive color of the skirt. Fab as always Tiff!
That's a great skirt, and I really love the green colour. That cardigan is great too, such a fun print.
Well don't you look too cute!!! I love homemade. Mom taught me to sew when I was about 12!!! It's so fun!

I love everything about this!! You look gorgeous and the ring and necklace are to die for!
Great job with that skirt!!! Your scalloped waist is so well done. I love the mix of leopard with this outfit.
um, cutest outfit ever. it looks fantastic on you. love those colors together.
I AM SO OBSESSED WITH THIS SKIRT. And the yellow one you made/had on the other day, too. Seriously if you opened an Etsy for these things and sold them on a student-friendly budget I WOULD BE ALL OVER THEM.
I love you in leopard print! And I totally dig your vibe about fall being school season, even when there's no school. Makes me want to wear knee socks and a navy blue school uniform and carry an old leather book bag -- none of which I did while actually in school.
