fashionably late

Pairing teal and red is hardly anything trendy or new (I did it in April but back then I called it cyan instead of teal) but this outfit felt so fresh and fun.  I think it's the jeans.  I've been so anti-pants over the last few years and I don't even really know why; maybe all I needed was a pair that fit well.  Since I purchased these, they're all I want to wear anymore.  I've been a slacker at taking outfit photos but believe me, I wear them several times a week.  I'm sure people have started to notice.... it's kind of hard to remix fire-engine red pants without people realizing you just wore them two days ago.

This morning I woke up a few minutes late... ok, every morning I wake up a few minutes late but this morning I was trying to look nice and make it to work on time.  Usually it's one or the other.  Anyways,  I wanted to put a little effort into my look but was short on time to play dress-up so I went through the gallery on my phone and found this outfit that I'd planned out a few weeks ago, added my faux-litas and a chunky ring and out the door I went.  I was still a few minutes late but I showed up looking fabulous, and that's what really matters, right?

Whoa there, colors! Those pants are awesome, and the heart-printed cardigan is so cute ;)

Teal and red is always a fantastic color pairing! I absolutely love that cardigan.

I'm with you on the pants thing - I avoided them for years, found one pair that actually fit well and they turned in to one my go-to, last minute staples. Now I'd really love a pair of colored jeans, I have my eye on a forest green pair.

Love the red and teal! And my red jeans are some of my M.V.P.s as well!

I am about 80% sure teal and cherry red will be my wedding colors. I ADORE that color combo. Also, I don't think I have ever seen you wearing pants in any post before. Ha! But you look hot in them, and that is the only thing that even matters.

Love this. I've been trying to pair red and blue only all this week. It's getting a little repetitive, so I'm trying to stop. But I keep reaching for those pieces lol. Love those pants, I'm investing in another pair soon, the ones I have are too big!

I love that cyan button up! Next to the red jeans, it really pops.

LOVE LOVE LOVE this. Just 'cute' enough but still chic and put-together. And makes me so sad because I have those pants but since having my son they do not fit! (I know I could go pick up a new pair but that just feels defeatist, you know?)

BAM way to kick ass in red jeans! Good lord. You look like platform fabulous. (I'd look like a drag queen fire truck, btw.)
