This color combination is a loose interpretation of the traditional red and green associated with the holidays and I could really wear these two shades together any time of year (and I probably will).

unplanned success
Every once in a while I'll throw on an unplanned outfit for a practical task like travelling or biking and later realize that I love the look more than some of my more carefully-selected ones. Case in point: I pulled this dress off the hanger because it's one of my most comfortable anda dresses. If I had to commit to one type of fabric for life, I'd choose jersey knit- it wears like a soft, thin blanket and you never have to iron it. I made this dress a bit short so I normally wear it as a top but it's Christmas weekend and most of my day will be spent driving and lounging, neither of which will involve much bending over in front of strangers. Also, it's not cold outside but it is cool enough for opaque tights, and we all know that opaque tights may as well be pants so the dress length really isn't even an issue (just kidding).

I love the whole outfit, but especially the cardigan! You are just plain adorable!
Hell yes. Stretch jersey is like leaving the house in PJ's except you look sexy instead of homeless.
And seriously, I depend on opaque tights to obscure my undies when I wear dresses where I can't lift my arms over my head without exposing my butt. Like all the time.
Hope your holiday was kickass, hotstuff.
I love the color combo here! And that green looks amazing on you :)
